Empties |Vegan & Cruelty Free

Hello and welcome to another blog post! I just noticed that this is my 101 blog post!

Sorry there hasn’t been a lot of content recently, I’ve been going through lots of stuff but I will be trying to upload more frequently.

This post is going to be a long overdue empties post!

Eco Modern Essentials Dream Drops Essential Oil Blend $16.00

It’s no surprise that I love essential oils and anything that can help me sleep gets my tick of approval. This blend by Eco. is made to help encourage a restful nights sleep. It has a relaxing blend of geranium, lavender and ylang ylang. I pop a few drops in a diffuser and it creates such a calming feel to my room. I have already repurchased this and will continue to use it.

Ofra Semi Permanent Eye Brow Gel $28.00

I picked up this eyebrow gel awhile ago and I’ve tried  it out probably 5-8 times and I hate it. It’s waterproof which is awesome for summer or exercising. The colour was the main issue for me, it was supposed to be a light brown that they call “Khaki” but I found it way too dark, more like a dark dark brown. It was also quite thick and full when applied so it was hard to give your brows the natural look with this product. I won’t be purchasing this again because I prefer a more natural brow look.

Kat Von D Ink Liner $28.00

KVD liners have always been my favourite eyeliners. They stay on all day, dry quickly, don’t smudge and easy to apply. I don’t use KVD beauty products anymore due to her stance on vaccinations.

Aura Cacia Roman Chamomile Essential Oil $14.03

Roman Chamomile essential oils smells great on it’s own or you can mix it with lavender to help you relax and sleep well. Aura Cacia have super affordable essential oils and if I can find the oils I want from my other favourite brand I’ll buy the Aura Cacia off iherb.

Colourpop Creme Gel Liner $5.00

I found this colourpop eyeliner hard to use, it wasn’t as black as I thought it would be and took a bit of work to get it nice and dark. It’s super affordable which is great but I wouldn’t be repurchasing this again.

Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil $3.00

This liner is one I have been using since high school. It’s jet black and lasts really well in the water liner. It rolls up so you don’t have to worry about sharpening it which is a plus. It’s also $3 or $1.50 if you get it on special at Priceline which is a bargain!

Colourpop Eyebrow Pencils $5.00

I have mixed feelings about these eyebrow pencils from Colourpop. They worked well and were easy to use and super affordable, but I find the product didn’t last long and you would go through the product super quickly. For the price I reckon it’s worth it.

Seed Skincare Organic Eye Cream $22.00

With most eye creams I get a reaction and they make my eyes itchy and watery but I had no issues with this organic eye cream from Seed Skincare. It restores hydration to the eye area and helps get rid of any puffiness. It also claims to help with dark circles but as I don’t get dark circles I can’t comment if it help with that. It’s also suitable for all skin types. I will most likely repurchase this because it lasted me so damn long so it’s definitely worth the money.

Maui Moisture Heal + Hydrate Shea Butter Hair Mask $19.99

I really love this hair mask and this was my second tub of it. It smells amazing and it hydrates the hair. It has shea butter, coconut oil and macadamia oils which deeply hydrate the  hair. If your hair is really dry you can use it as a leave in treatment which is what I do regularly. Whenever priceline has the haircare sales I make sure to pick one up. A little goes a long way with this product and your hair will be left hydrated, soft and smelling amazing.

Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner $16.50

Snow fairy is that holiday favourite scent that Lush release every Christmas. The Snow Fairy body conditioner is basically a in shower moisturiser that can be applied to wet skin. It deeply moisturizes the skin and your left smelling like candy floss.  This product and the whole snow fairy line is only out at Christmas time so make sure to get it now before it goes for the new year!

Oh Deer Sugar (Oh) Love is Love Body Scrub $14.00

If you don’t know I am a huge fan of Oh Deer Sugar’s body scrubs. They are nice exfoliant that isn’t rough on the skin but helps get rid of any roughness or dryness that is on the skin. The love is love scrub has this scent that reminds me of my childhood. It’s a rainbow colour and was made to show pride for all sexualities. I would definitely repurchase this gorgeous scrub.

Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub $14.95

I’ve used this scrub on and off since highschool and I’m pretty sure it was the first body scrub I bought when I was a teenager. It’s a sea salt based scrub that smells like Cherry Blossoms. It leaves your skin soft and smooth. The only downside is that as it’s salt, if you have any cuts or wounds and it get in them it will sting like no tomorrow. I also use this on my scalp to help with my dry scalp. Lush are coming out with two new body scrubs soon and I can’t wait to try them.

Tula Naturals Gentle Exfoliating Face Polish $14.00

This face polish has walnut shell and lemon and can be used on all skin types. The lemon acts as a gentle peel that removes the top layer of dead skin cells to give you a smoother and brighter complexion. I didn’t mind this scrub, it didn’t feel rough on my face which is always a good sign. It left my skin feeling soft and fresh. I would probably repurchase this.

Botani Olive Soothing Cream Cleanser $29.95

I received this cleanser as a free gift with purchase from Flora and Fauna and I am so happy I did. This cleanser is great for sensitive skin like myself because it is super gentle and moisturising. It has olive oil, olive leaf extract and olive squalene which nourishes the skin. It is also pH balanced for optimal skin health. It can also be used on problematic skin like psoriasis and eczema. The bottle lasted me over 3 months and I will definitely be repurchasing this awesome cleanser.

Frank Body Glow Mask $21.95

My best friend gifted me this mask so I’m happy I didn’t have to buy it because I hated it so much that I couldn’t finish it off. It is supposed to be a hydrating face mask that will leave your skin glowing but it just broke my skin out each time I used it. I tried it over 6 times and each time I would get small breakouts all over my face. It did leave my skin looking glowly but it’s not worth the break outs in my opinion.

Magnesium Power Magnesium Chloride Flakes $13.95

I’m a fan of magnesium flakes, I love adding them to baths to help relax sore muscles and cramps. I usually get the Amazing Oils magnesium flakes but I thought why not try out another brand and I found these work just as well.

Magnesium is required by almost 75% of the systems in the human body and is much needed to function correctly. Absorbing magnesium through the skin is a fast way to replenish your levels. Many people take magnesium for pain relief, whether that be muscular, headaches, migraines, insomnia, restless legs and sports strains. Spraying it on grants you relief quickly.

Magnesium deficiency is one of the leading causes of disease and a lack of well being. Of the almost 1600 systems of the human body, 1200 require Magnesium in order to function efficiently. Systems such as the Cardio-Vascular System (Heart-health) and Cognitive Function (Brain Health) are particularly vulnerable to a lack of Magnesium. Some people believe that taking a few tablets of Magnesium will fix this chronic deficiency but are unaware that up to 90% of oral supplementation from Magnesium is destroyed in the gut.

Lush Daddy-O Shampoo $33.95

I picked up this shampoo last year to try out with my hair because I had some brassy tones from when it was bleached and then dyed over. Daddy-O has lemon and lime juice which help the hair shine. There is coconut oil that helps hydrates as well. This shampoo is suppose to revive blonde tones and silver toned hair. I find when I used this that my hair was more shiny and not so brassy but more blonde toned.

Lush R&B Hair Moisturiser $20.50

R&B is a leave-in moisturiser which has butters, oils and herbs that are designed to help curly and dry hair types. It restores your hair to its natural beauty. It calms the scalp and can be used on all of your hair, not just the ends. I loved adding this to my hair when it was frizzy and it helped my curls stay in tack and reduced the frizz. It also leaves your hair smelling amazing due to orange flower absolute. I would defintely repurchase this again.

The Physic Garden Skin Rescue $13.95

I received this in a Flora and Fauna beauty box and I am so happy I did! This is a all natural product that is free from allergens like dairy, gluten and alcohol. It is a moisturising balm which soothes irritated skin and helps heal dry or damaged skin. If you have really dry areas like elbows or feet this product is amazing! It has shea butter, olive oil, calendula, gotu kola and chickweed. The balm doesn’t feel thick and oily when applied. I will definitely be repurchasing this as it helped my dry skin so much.
